    "My Story"
      by: xoxRiot Girlxox

Hi my names Elisa I've had seizures for 3 years of my life..they all started when I was 12. I was asleep in my sister's room when all of a sudden I felt like someone was choking me. I thought "I'm gunna die at 12".. No one saw that seizure..2 weeks later I had another same time same place: 4:30 am in my bed...this time my sister saw me on the floor drooling and trying to say "HELP ME". It hurt so bad because I had fallen off my bed and was on the floor shaking..I woke up and my sister, brother, dad and mom were standing over me ..they told me that I was shaking really bad and that my eyes were rolled in the back of my head..I was too weak to walk so my dad had to pick me up and carry me down the stairs..After my seizures I get flu like symptoms the whole day..they took me to the ER and I had IVs and catscans and eegs and MRI's. I have monthly blood tests for medication levels. I haven't had a seizure since January of 2002 and I had it because they were weaning me off my medicine to see if I still had seizures...Big Mistake...I had another at 15...(this year) I went in for my permit and had to fill out all these forms and things. I now know that I have epilepsy and Grand Mal Seizures. I will be on medicine for the rest of my life and will never be able to fulfill my dream of attending the airforce..
