EducationConferencesThe Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California provides education service programs for individuals and their families, health and public safety officials, schools, and other professionals. We partner with local epilepsy treatment centers to offer conferences for physicians, health care professionals, and families affected by epilepsy. Educational WorkshopsThe Epilepsy Foundation of Northern California has a team of trained educators that are available for a variety of educational workshops, including: Seizure Recognition and First Aid Training Group discussion and a multi-media presentation about the different types of seizures and effective response to a person having a seizure geared toward health and public safety officials, school staff, and other professionals. Kids on the Block Program A puppet show and group discussion about epilepsy and appreciation of the differences among people geared toward elementary school children. Helping Other People with Epilepsy (H.O.P.E.) Mentoring Program

Discussion and a video about a range of epilepsy-related topics including the causes, diagnosis, and treatment of epilepsy, the psychosocial impact of epilepsy, patient advocacy, and self-management geared towards patients and their families as well as the community at large.
