Education Programs
We are proud to offer an array of programs which educate the public about epilepsy and help to dispel many of the myths and misconceptions surrounding seizure disorders. Our Community Education programs offer in-service training to teachers and school medical professionals. We also offer Workplace Education seminars to assist employers in their understanding of epilepsy and employees with seizure disorders. A donation of at least $50 per training is greatly appreciated.
Health Benefits Counseling
The Epilepsy Foundation of Western Wisconsin helps people who have lost their jobs because of a seizure disorder. We help you work through the proper channels to retain your benefits and ensure you get the medications you require. We also help you to satisfy state licensing requirements once you are safely able to return to the road.
Information and Referral
From local programs to qualified doctors and medical professionals in the area, our staff is trained to help you find the information and resources you need to make informed decisions. In this era of managed care, it's important to make maximum use of the face time you get with your doctor. We can help you organize your thoughts and questions and assist in the interpretation of a diagnosis.
Kids Camp
The Epilepsy Foundation of Western Wisconsin works with the other Wisconsin affiliates to put together a week-long summer camp for kids with seizure disorders. If you would like to learn more, please contact Lou.
Support Groups in Western Wisconsin
The Epilepsy Foundation of Western Wisconsin offers a support group for adults with epilepsy, as well as a linkage network.
